SNOWSHOE RAID ADVENTURE RUN

WINTER, 2025

A 3-hour snowshoe race for teams of two with navigation by map and compass.

Competitors travel on and off-trail to checkpoints located throughout escarpment studded forests and parklands. Go as hard or as easy as you like! Checkpoints (CPs) are rated on their difficulty and are assigned different point values. The more CP's and points collected the higher you'll rank!

*no pets permitted at race headquarters or on course.

 

CATEGORIES

Teams of 2 (Coed, Male, Female, Masters Coed, Masters Male, Masters Female, Super Masters, Family, Juniors).

  • Ages are teammate ages as of Dec. 31, 2024.

  • Masters teams must have a combined age of 90 or over.

  • Super Masters teams must have a combined age of 120 or over.

  • Family/Junior teams consist of one adult and one child (<= 16) OR both team members between the ages of 14 and 18.

RULES & REQUIRED GEAR

All participants are required to review the DontGetLost Adventure Running Raid rules and carry the required gear during the race.

 

RACE-DAY SCHEDULE

Race Kit Pick-up: 8:15 - 9:15am (Pre-marked maps distributed with race kits)
Race Briefing: 9:15am - 9:30am

Buses drive to Start Area: 9:45am

Race Starts Between: 10:00-10:15am (depending on driving conditions)
Course Cut-Off: 1:00pm (or 3 hours after the race begins)

Buses drive participants from Finish back to race HQ 1:15pm - 1:30pm
Awards & Post Race Meal: 1:30pm - 2:30pm

REGULAR: January 18, 2024

LATE: February 1, 2024

We have a new registration system! It's a little different:

  • You sign the waiver online before you complete the registration.

  • You DO NOT need to sign up your team mate (as they have to digitally sign the online waiver themselves). You will still need to pay the full team fee to complete registration.

  • Once your team is registered, let your desired team mate know your team name. They can then head over to the registration page and select 'Join Team'. They then put in all their details and sign the waiver themselves.

Entry fee DOES NOT include HST or online transaction charge.

Entry fee includes park entrance fee, copies of all race maps for each participant, timing chip rental, post-race hot food, and event swag.

AWARDS & PRIZES

Awards will be given to the first place team in all categories and to the top 3 teams in categories with at least 10 entries. We also have lots of draw prizes from our sponsors.

 

VOLUNTEERS

DontGetLost Adventure Running is a not-for-profit organization and the success of our races relies on the wonderful support we get from our volunteers. We require 15-20 volunteers for each race. There are many benefits to being a DontGetLost Adventure Running Series volunteer including: having fun, get free race swag, enjoy the outdoors, learn about the sport (a great way to start), build management experience, free post-race food and it counts towards highschool student volunteer curriculum.
