RAID THE HAMMER ADVENTURE RUN

The Hamilton (aka the Hammer) region has a rich long distance running history as the home of North America's oldest road running race and the hometown of many past winners of the Boston marathon and Canadian Olympian runners. The Raid the Hammer Adventure Run builds on this running history by combining road running, trail running, navigation, and trekking together into Ontario's gnarliest running race. Teams of three can expect lots of mud, rock and calf killing climbs as they Raid the Hammer.

COURSE OPTIONS
The Raid the Hammer follows our classic point-to-point adventure format. Teams can choose between or Raid or Half-Raid course options.
RAID: This course is a 20-25 km course that involves intermediate trail running, trekking skills and endurance, and intermediate to advanced navigation skills.
RAID categories: Coed, Male, Female, Masters.
HALF-RAID: This course is approximately half the distance of the full Raid, a 10-15 km course that includes many of the same elements. Intermediate trail running, trekking skills and endurance and beginner to intermediate navigation skills are recommended.
HALF-RAID categories: Male, Coed, Female, Masters, Junior
Masters: Average age over 45
Juniors: 16 and under, one member may be over 16

Registration closes at midnight on Nov 8th
Entry fee includes copies of all race maps for each participant, timing chip rental, post-race hot food, and event gear (eg T-Shirt, socks, headband), and 2024 DontGetLost Adventure Running membership to cover race insurance.
Entry fee does not include online transaction charge or HST.
No pets allowed on race course or at registration.

HALF RAID

9:45: Buses depart for Half Raid Start Location
10:15: Half Raid start
13:15 Half-Raid awards ceremony

RULES & REQUIRED GEAR
All participants are required to review the DontGetLost Adventure Running Raid rules and carry the required gear during the race.
AWARDS & PRIZES
Awards will be given to the first place team in all categories and to the top 3 teams in all categories with at least 10 entries. We also have lots of draw prizes from our sponsors.
