RACE FORMAT

There are four choices for the sprint event, with no age categories, just self-select the course which best suits your abilities:

Starts will be staggered every minute, with up to four participants in the same starting time block (each would be running a different course). This classic start format is: call up box (3 min. prior to start time); advance to pick up control description (2 min. prior to start time); advance to pick up course map (1 min. prior to start time); GO! (at your start time). Please be at the start, warmed up, at least ten minutes prior to your assigned start time. Download will be at the courtyard registration area.

SPRINT SCHEDULE

3:00: Registration Opens

4:00: First Start

5:15: Race course closes. All participants should return to the finish after this time.

5:30: Complete course closure. After this time we activate our emergency plan to locate missing runners.

*Special Notes:

1) McMaster Fall Preview Day is occurring on the same day as the sprint. Based on their published

schedule, we expect things to have mostly wound down by the time we are racing, however there

may still be some visitors present on campus, so please exercise extra caution on course,

particularly when rounding blind corners.

2) Sunset will be at 4:53 pm – a headlamp may be useful for racers with a later start time, or if

you expect to be on course longer.

3) NO SPIKES are allowed on campus and athletes may not cross any playing fields, if that is

a route choice.

Start times are posted on the main event page
